Police: David Scott Rodenbarger fatally stabbed mother, half-sister

MONTICELLO, Ind. - A man was arrested early Saturday morning after his mother and 7-year-old half-sister were stabbed to death in their home.
Indiana State Police said officers were called to a home at 5642 E. Richey Park in Monticello, in White County, after dispatchers received a 911 call about possible stabbings.
Police said David Scott Rodenbarger, 20, stabbed his mother, Michelle Haskins, 41, and his half-sister, Jillian Haskins, 7.
"Michelle was able to make the 911 call before succumbing to her injuries," said ISP Sgt. Ann Wojas, in a news release. "Jillian was taken to White County Memorial Hospital in Monticello, where she was pronounced dead."
Rodenbarger was arrested on murder charges and was being held Saturday in the White County Jail.
Police said they don't know what led to the stabbings.
