Ohio man accused of raping adopted children

TROY, Ohio - A western Ohio man is jailed on charges that he raped three adopted children and allowed other men to have sex with a boy.
An Ohio family services official Wednesday called the allegations "heinous, horrific, awful," as state and local authorities investigated. The children had been adopted through a private agency.
Thirty-nine-year-old Kenneth Brandt, who was jailed Feb. 24, was being held on $800,000 bond in Miami County Jail on three counts of rape and one of compelling prostitution. A message was left for the county public defender's office.
The Dayton Daily News reports that Brandt had adopted a 9-year-old girl and two boys and was in the process of adopting another boy. Troy police say one boy, age 10, says two other men had sex with him.
