DENVER - The Denver TV anchor bitten by a dog during an interview on air last week is currently unable to talk.

Kyle Dyer posted on her Facebook that she had 70 stitches in her upper lip, lower lip and nose.

"I am unable to talk because my mouth is stitched shut to allow for the skin graft to take and get the blood circulating in my lips again," Dyer said on Facebook.

"She cannot talk and is using any tool from pad and paper to computer to communicate," according to a Facebook post.

Dyer was interviewing Max the dog, Max's owner and a firefighter who rescued the dog from an icy pond when Max bared his teeth, raised his head and bit Dyer on the lip on Wednesday, Feb. 8.
