Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts is planning to return to her TV job in May or June, according to a TMZ report .

Roberts has been recovering from a bone marrow transplant to treat a rare blood and bone marrow disease and has been off the air since August 30.

On Dec. 1, she was allowed to leave her NYC apartment to travel to Connecticut. She tweeted last week that her beloved dog, K.J., will be home "soon."

Roberts was diagnosed and treated for breast cancer in 2007 and has been cancer-free since 2008.
