Pedigree is calling some of its canned dog food because it many contain small pieces of plastic. The company has issued a voluntary recall due to a potential choking risk.

The plastic apparently broke off a conveyor belt during the production process.

  • Pedigree Weight Management Meaty Ground Dinner Beef & Liver Dinner in Meaty Juices
  • Pedigree Weight Management Meaty Ground Dinner Chicken & Rice Dinner in Meaty Juices

Each product will have a lot code printed on the top of the can that begins with 209, 210, 211 or 212 and Best Before date that falls between 2/24/2014 and 3/23/2014.

If you have questions about the recall go to http://www.pedigree.com/update/ or call Pedigree at 1-877-720-3335.
