PINELLAS PARK, Fla. - The Florida Highway Patrol has released dash cam video of a Tasing incident that happened last September.

The video shows a handcuffed woman being Tased in the back as she ran away from a trooper.

Danielle Maudsley suffered severe brain damage after hitting her head on the concrete.

The 20-year-old has been in a vegetative state ever since.

Officials with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement determined Trooper Daniel Cole's "use of force" was justified.

Maudsley's family has hired an attorney and plans to sue the FHP.
