CINCINNATI - The Northwest Local School District has announced a new superintendent Friday.

Dr. Andrew Jackson, who began his career at Northwest Local School District in 2008, will be officially taking over the position of superintendent on April 1.

Jackson was the Director of Curriculum, where he oversaw the elementary instructional programming for four years.

In 2012, Jackson was promoted to Assistant Superintendent of Business Services.

“We are very pleased with the selection of Dr. Andrew Jackson as the new superintendent of our schools,” Board President, Mr. David Denny, said in a press release.

“Dr. Jackson brings a wealth of knowledge to the table and we look forward to working with him.  His educational background and previous experience gives him an outsider’s perspective, and he has earned a great deal of respect from colleagues within the Northwest Community.”
