PASCO COUNTY, Fla. - A 12-year-old middle school student from Pasco County has been arrested and charged with throwing a deadly missile.

The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office said the child intentionally and maliciously threw a nearly-full Gatorade bottle from the window of a moving bus.

The bottle smashed into the windshield of a nearby car and pieces of shattered glass cut a passenger inside.

According to a release, a video camera on the bus captured the incident.   It showed the student putting the hood of his sweatshirt up over his head and throwing the bottle out the window.

When deputies questioned the student, he admitted to throwing it.  He was arrested and transported to the Land O Lakes Jail.

The child has been charged with throwing a deadly missile and criminal mischief.
