CINCINNATI - On Saturday night, lucky ticket holders will get to check out the new Moerlein lager House before it opens to the public. The event is called "The 'Moer' for Cincinnati gala" and it benefits Cincinnati Parks.

Tickets are sold out.

The gala is on Saturday February 25 at 6:30 p.m. at the new Moerlein Lager House, located in Smale Riverfront Park.

When the lager house opens Monday, you can enjoy Christian Moerlein beer and craft beers from around the world.

Saturday's sold out event will have food, a silent auction, a raffle, and other surprises. The Over-the-Rhine-based Christian Moerlein Horse Team will make an appearance, and there will be a ceremonial tapping of the first keg.

All proceeds from Saturday's gala will benefit Cincinnati Parks' "Explore Nature!" program, which brings science and nature education to children in some of our city's most at-risk neighborhoods.

The new Moerlein Lager House is on the corner of Joe Nuxhall way (formerly Main St.) and Mehring Way in downtown Cincinnati.

It opens to the public on Monday, February 27, at 2012 at 11 a.m.
