CINCINNATI - Microsoft is inviting it's first customers to it's newest location Thursday.
The first free-standing Microsoft store in Ohio will open at Kenwood Town Centre on Thursday. It will be located on the second floor of the mall, above the food court-- and just a few spaces down from the Apple store.
Grand opening ceremonies will be held at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 8, with the store officially opening at 11 a.m. 9 News has learned complimentary wristbands will be distributed for opening day.
At 6 p.m., guests can play Kinect games with Brandon Phillips. The opportunity to play with Phillips will be on a first come, first serve basis.
The opening festivities continue Saturday Nov. 10, when the band O.A.R. will perform with special guest Andy Grammar. Gates open for the concert at noon.
The first 200 people in line for the Microsoft store opening Thursday will receive two complimentary premier wristbands that get you admission to the O.A.R. and Andy Grammar performance and the meet and greet with O.A.R. after the show. The second wristband grants another person admission to the concert only. The next 1,250 people in line, at minimum, will receive two premier viewing wristbands to the concert.
As of 5 a.m. Thursday, there were already about 30 people waiting in line for the grand opening.
