Meijer announced Tuesday their plan to hire 12,000 new team members for the 2012 holiday season.
“Customer service is one of the things that truly sets Meijer apart from our competition,” said Executive vice President of Operations Janet Emerson. “Our goal is to deliver the best customer experience and the lowest prices, and as we continue to grow it’s so important that we have the right levels of staff and the right people in those roles.”
Staffing needs will vary from store to store, but all Meijer stores will have positions available.
There will be 1,200 positions available in the greater Cincinnati area.
Those wishing to apply are asked to complete an online application a www.jobs.meijer.com . Applications may also be completed at Meijer store employment kiosks.
“While most of the seasonal opportunities are part-time, these jobs can provide a gateway to a full-time career at Meijer,” said Jenny Hawat, vice president of talent recruitment and retention.
