CINCINNATI - Cincinnati police arrested the woman who they say left the scene of an accident on I-71 Sunday morning.

Lauren Michelle Balint, 21, was charge by police with leaving the scene of an auto accident, a felony.

The accident occurred around 2 a.m. Sunday when Christopher Walker, 21, attempted to cross I-71 at the 3.3 mile-marker on foot and was struck by the vehicle Balint drove, Cincinnati police report.

According to reports, Balint abandoned the vehicle on Montgomery Road. Walker died of injuries sustained in the incident.

The owner of the vehicle was also cited for allowing Balint to drive his 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue without insurance, police report.
