A 9-year-old from California who weighed 186 pounds by the time she was 9 years old is making headlines after losing 66 pounds.
According to ABC News , Breanna Bond reached 100 pounds by the time she was in kindergarten, and the extra weight made it difficult for her to move freely and breath properly. It also affected the way she made friends.
“Everybody at school would call me names,” she told ABC News . “They would call me fatty, they would call me fat head.”
Breanna's parents -- Dan and Heidi Bond -- decided to take matters into their own hands and created an exercise routine for their daughter and their whole family. According to the ABC News report, they began to take regular 4-mile walks at a trail near their home.
Breanna also started limiting the amount of fatty foods she ate.
