LEBANON, Ohio - If convicted murderer Ryan Widmer wants a fourth trial, an appellate court will have to grant it.

A Warren County judge denied Widmer's request for a fourth trial late Tuesday afternoon.

In December attorneys for Widmer, 32, filed an appeal, claiming six errors were made during his third murder trial that violated his constitutional rights.

A jury convicted Widmer in his third trial last year for the 2008 drowning death of the his wife, Sarah, in the bathtub of their Hamilton Township home.

The first trial resulted in a conviction that was later turned over due to juror misconduct. The second trial ended in a hung jury.

No other information is available on this time.
