CINCINNATI - Two local non-profits are receiving grants thanks to a national superstore giant.
Walmart gave Dress for Success $25,000 to help fund its employment-readiness services and $50,000 to the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati to assist in its swimming programs for those with special needs.
"These children will receive certified instruction from volunteers from Ohio Swim Instructors and then some of them will go on to be on special swim teams that will compete in the Special Olympics," says Sandy Walker, President & CEO of the YMCA Greater Cincinnati.
The grants are part of the Walmart Foundation’s State Giving Council.
The council is providing grants to a number of non-profits throughout the state of Ohio and United States.
