CINCINNATI - Several services around the Tri-State are closed or offering shortened hours while Veterans Day is observed Monday.

Veterans Day is observed on Monday, though the holiday fell on a Sunday this year.

Some of Monday’s closures and delays include:

  • City and federal offices and courts: Closed for the day
  • Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles: The majority of Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicle locations across the state will be closed or offering limited services. Call ahead for local hours or go to http://bmv.ohio.gov/county_lst.stm for more information.
  • City of Cincinnati garbage: No pick up on Monday. There will be a one-day delay throughout the week. For more information, go to http://www.cincinnati-oh.gov/public-services/garbage-recycling/holiday-schedule/ .
  • Rumpke: No delays in service
  • Cincinnati Metro: Regular schedule.
  • Banks: Most banks are closed for the day, but call ahead for information about your bank's branch.
  • Cincinnati Public Library: Regular hours.
