CINCINNATI - As a wintry mix of rain and high winds passed through the Tri-State Thursday evening, thousands of residents were left in the dark.

At one point more than 22,000 Duke Energy customers were without power, the majority of which lived in Hamilton and Clermont counties.

Weather forecasting models indicated rain and some snow would continue through Friday, and brought with it high winds. Temperatures are expected to plunge into the 20s this weekend.
