CINCINNATI - One of the four teens accused of torching a Reading park in August appeared in Hamilton County Juvenile Court Monday morning.

The other three teens are scheduled to appear in court Oct. 12.

A fire broke out at a picnic shelter in Voorhees Park Aug. 15 and four male juveniles — three of whom are 14 and one of whom is 15 — later confessed to the crime. Reading police said the boys were remorseful and said it was an accident.

The fire destroyed the shelter, which was a popular spot for children and families in the community.

The teens' names will not be released because of their ages.
