CINCINNATI - A man barricaded himself inside a Price Hill home Thursday, prompting SWAT officers to respond and a nearby school to be locked down.
Cincinnati police said a woman called in at 10:40 a.m. and said her child’s father, Antonio Woffard, was inside a home at Sunset and Westhaven avenues. She also told police Woffard has outstanding felony warrants.
Woffard refused to come out of the house and SWAT officers were called to negotiate with him. Eventually he was taken into custody without incident.
Nearby Carson Elementary School at the intersection of Glenway and Sunset avenues was locked down as a precaution, police said.
The school dismissed at 2:15 p.m., and police along with school officials assisted students one-by-one out of the building and away from the area, police said.
Woffard is scheduled to appear in court Friday morning.
No other information about the incident has been released.
