CINCINNATI - The Brent Spence Corridor Project will create more than 24,000 jobs in the Tri-State, according to a study released by the Build Our New Bridge Now Coalition.

The study, which was conducted by the Center for Economic Analysis and Development at Northern Kentucky University, indicates the project will funnel $4.8 billion into the local economy.

“A regions’ infrastructure is the foundation of its economic growth,” said Johnna Reeder, vice president of community relations and economic development for Duke Energy Ohio and Kentucky, and a member of the Build Our New Bridge Now Coalition working group. “These numbers only begin to tell the story. A new and reconfigured bridge and corridor will provide a safe means of travel for those in the community, in addition to helping the region retain and develop job and growth opportunities.”

According to the report, state and local tax revenues for Kentucky and Ohio will be in excess of $91 million and $101 million respectively.
