After freezing rain turned to sheets of ice on Tri-State roads overnight, two counties have declared snow emergencies to help their residents stay safe.

Butler County declared a Level One Snow Emergency at 10 p.m. Friday night. This indicates that roads are dangerous and drivers should use extreme caution when traveling.

Franklin County in Indiana is under a Level Three Snow Emergency, meaning only police and emergency vehicles should be on the roads.
