CINCINNATI - Scott Sloan has been named as the permanent replacement for Mike McConnelL during 700WLW's weekday show from 9 a.m. - noon.

Clear Channel Radio made the announcement on Friday.

Sloan, also known as "Sloanie", had been filling in for McConnell since he left the station last month for a new job in Chicago at WGN-AM.

He's worked at WLW for 10 years. He moves to daytime radio after hosting the station's 9 p.m. - midnight show.

In addition to Sloan replacing McConnell, longtime WLW morning host, Jim Scott, has signed a new contract to continue his weekday morning show from 5 a.m. - 9 a.m.

“700WLW is a special radio station that has so many great personalities and broadcasters who are part of ‘The Big One,’” said Darryl Parks, Director of AM Operations for 700WLW. “Our sponsors recognize the benefit of having a strong platform for their products and the most popular radio personalities in the Midwest.”

“I couldn’t be more excited about my new daytime role at 700WLW,” said Sloan. “My new show comes with an awesome responsibility and I am honored to be given the opportunity to grow the future of ‘The Big One.’”

“I just love being on the radio and knowing that I am one of the first voices to greet people each morning as Cincinnati gets up and gets the day started,” said Scott. “My goal in radio from the beginning of my career was to be at the biggest and best radio station I could work for. There’s no station I consider to be a bigger brand today than ‘The Big One,’ 700WLW.”
