SPRINGDALE, Ohio - A school bus was involved in a three-vehicle accident on westbound I-275 in Springdale Monday morning.
A vehicle hydroplaned on westbound I-275 at struck a guardrail near the Chesterdale Road and I-75 exits at about 6:45 a.m. The driver exited the vehicle and then another vehicle and a school bus struck the stopped vehicle, said Lt. Rick Newman of the Springdale Police Department. There were not any students on the bus at the time of the accident, Newman added.
Emergency crews transported the driver of the bus and one of the drivers of the vehicles to an area hospital for treatment. Authorities have not released information about their conditions at this time.
Officials have not yet said which school district the bus was part of.
The crash caused back up on westbound I-275 for a short period of time Monday morning.
Authorities have not released any additional details about the crash at this time.
