CINCINNATI - The region was hit was by a series of deadly storms Friday night that destroyed homes and businesses and several agencies are accepting donations to help the storm's victims.
The Cincinnati Red Cross is accepting donations to help storm victims in the Tri-State.
A donation hotline has been set up for victims at (513) 579-3024. The Red Cross is also accepting donations online at https://american.redcross.org/site/Donation2?4462.donation=form1&idb=1809869442&df_id=4462 .
The Red Cross has set up several distribution centers and shelters at the following locations:
- River of Life Church, 1793 U.S. Highway 52, Moscow, Ohio, 45153
- Crittenden Baptist Church, Russel Street, Crittenden, Ky.
- Northern Pendleton Fire Department Junction of KY, I54 and K9-10 Peach Grove, Ky.
- Holton Community Center, 7056 Versailles St., Holton, Ind.
- St. Peter Catholic Church, 1192 Bethel-New Richmond Road
- Independence Senior Center, 2001 Jack Woods Parkway
Workers are helping replace items like lost medications, eyeglasses and providing outreach and condolence visits.
A hotline for Clermont County victims has also been set up. That number, which is staffed from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily, is (513)735-8521.
In addition, Emergency Response Vehicles will travel throughout affected communities providing clean up kits, rakes, shovels and work gloves. There are eight ERVs currently out in the field.
Hundreds of volunteers from are assisting in the relief effort. So far, the Red Cross has provided approximately 6,000 meals and over 215 cleanup kits.

Scott Gehring with the Cincinnati Red Cross says volunteer coordinators are constantly scouring their website for volunteer information to begin contacting those interested.
The Crittenden Fire Department, 104 N. Main St., is asking those interested in volunteering with clean-up in Grant County, call the firehouse first at (859) 428-1767. Food and water donations can also be dropped off to the fire department. Donors should call ahead when donating clothing and furniture in order to coordinate drop off times.
Kent Jones, a city councilman in Moscow, is accepting donations for Moscow residents. If interested in volunteering with Jones, he can be contacted at detts71@yahoo.com or (513) 553-1461.
A number of churches and other organizations throughout the Tri-State are currently accepting donations as well as providing essentials for storm victims.
- Grace & Mercy Outreach, 17 Main West St., Amelia, Ohio, is providing up to five outfits of clothing to storm victims, as well as food and any other needed household items. Donations are also being accepted. Phone: (513) 753-1555.
- Mercy Works Food Help Door (a ministry of Vineyard Eastgate Community Church) 1005 Batavia Pike in Batavia, Ohio. Normal operating hours are Wednesday and Thursday 6 to 7 p.m. Food donations are also being accepted. Phone (513) 733-1993.
- Matthew 25: Ministries is accepting donations Monday through Friday 9 a.m.to 4 p.m. Donations include: Cash donations, first aid supplies, personal care products, cleaning supplies, non-perishable food and blankets.
- City on the Hill Church, 3132 Mozart Ave., is accepting donations at the church's Harvest House, 3240 Harrison Ave., Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Church volunteers are willing to pick up large items. Phone (513) 315-7498.
- Mt. Holly Christian Chapel, 2141 State Route 125, Amelia, Ohio, is serving food until Monday or until it runs out. They are also accepting donations at its location. Phone: 513-316-9823.
