The salon straightening process is one of the most popular keratin treatments on the market right now. After a settlement in a California federal court the Brazilian Blowout products will soon be changing.
The company has agreed to add a disclaimer to the products that says they could possibly emit a formaldehyde gas.
The California Attorney General's Office announced the company agreed to a settlement that it would alert consumers that two of its formulations could emit the cancer causing toxin.
Along with adding the disclaimer to the label to company has agreed to pay a $600,000 fine.
