CINCINNATI - A man was arrested early Wednesday morning for allegedly stealing a money jar that was raising funds for a funeral.
Police say 19-year-old Alphonzo Williams stole a money jar on July 12 from a local convenience store in the 10000 block of Hamilton Avenue in Springfield Township. The jar was for collecting cash to pay for the burial of a community resident. It contained $300 at the time of the theft.
Williams is charged with misdemeanor theft.
Williams is scheduled to appear in court for his arraignment at 9 a.m. Wednesday morning.
