CINCINNATI - Police arrested two women they say robbed and threatened a victim in Clifton early Thursday morning.
Cincinnati police arrested 21-year-old Markeya Evans and 21-year-old Candis Walker after the pair allegedly robbed a victim at about 12:15 a.m. in the 2300 block of Wheeler Street. Police say the women armed with BB guns stole money, an iPhone and other person property from the victim, whose name has not yet been released.
Authorities say the women fled the scene in a vehicle, but were later caught by police in the 400 block of Kasota Avenue in Avondale.
Cincinnati police say the victim notified police of the crime shortly after it occurred, which helped authorities track Evans and Walker quickly.
“It is absolutely imperative that crime victims notify the police as soon as possible after the offense as the chances of making an arrest decrease drastically the longer one waits to report the crime,” police wrote in a news release.
If you have any additional information about the offense, contact the District Five Investigative Unit at (513) 569-8500.
