CINCINNATI - A man was shot in the foot during an apparent drive-by shooting in the Madisonville neighborhood.

Police are reporting a male was shot in the foot while walking in the 5300 block of Whetsel Avenue in Madisonville Sunday at approximately 3 p.m. The man was found by emergency crews on the sidewalk outside his home.

The shot originated from a moving vehicle, police say. Police have not released information regarding the description of the vehicle involved in the shooting.

The male, who is described as being in his 30s, was taken to University Hospital by ambulance.

The shooting is being investigated by District 2 police. Police have not indicated whether or not this was a targeted shooting.

A 9 News crew has been sent to the scene.
