MASON, Ohio - An elderly Mason man with Alzheimer's who was reported missing early Friday has been located in Clinton County.
Melvin Fitzharris, 83, who is known to suffer from Alzheimer's, stopped to ask a truck driver for directions after driving his car to Sabina, Ohio. The unnamed truck driver was concerned about Fitzharris' condition and contacted law enforcement, police said.
Police are reporting Fitzharris was found unharmed and is expected to be taken back to his home in Mason later this evening.
An Endangered Missing Adult Alert was issued statewide after Fitzharris was reported missing around 11:15 a.m. Friday morning.
Fitzharris had driven his 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis from his Mason home to Clinton County after leaving his home to go to a local post office.
