Police investigate the death of a 3-year-old at Mason motel

MASON, Ohio - Authorities are investigating the death of a 3-year-old at a Mason motel.

Police were called to the Mason Inn located at 9735 Mason Montgomery Road, for an unresponsive male child around 12:50 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered the child not breathing and began CPR until medics arrived.

The child was taken to Bethesda North where he was pronounced dead.

The Hamilton County Coroner’s Office performed an autopsy Sunday morning. The cause of death remains undetermined until toxicology reports are completed.

The mother of the child and a male friend of the mother have been questioned by police.

No other information has been released at this time.
