CINCINNATI - Cincinnati police continue to investigate an attempted bank robbery in Green Township.
Police say there was an attempted robbery at the PNC Bank located at 5889 Bridgetown Road just after 3 p.m. Tuesday.
A male suspect entered the bank with a manila colored envelop and handed it to a teller. Inside the envelope was a note demanding money. Police say the teller complied and placed money in the envelope. The suspect took the undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene.
The suspect still remains at large. He is described as a white male, 35-45 years old, 6 feet tall and with a slender build. He was last seen wearing a green plaid shirt, sunglasses and has a goatee.
Authorities believe the suspect could be responsible for a bank robbery that took place in March at the PNC Bank located at 6109 Glenway Avenue. Security video from the scene of that crime appears to a show a man who looks similar to the suspect using a similar method to the one used on Tuesday.
Both incidents remain under investigation.
