Police: Drug use played role in Spring Grove Avenue accident

CINCINNATI - Drug use is believed to have played a role in a car crash that resulted in road closures that lasted for about two hours Friday evening.

Cincinnati police are investigating a car crash that occurred just off the Western Hills Viaduct around 5 p.m. Friday evening. Police say the man, whose name has not been released, is believed to have been under the influence of drugs when his white Crown Victoria crashed.

The driver sustained minor injuries that are being described by police as non life-threatening.

The accident shut down Spring Grove Avenue at the Western Hills Viaduct and the ramp from I-75 to Harrison Avenue for about two hours.

No other cars or injuries were reported as a result of this accident.
