4-year-old boy shot in leg in Avondale

CINCINNATI - Police say that a 4-year-old boy was shot in the leg in Avondale around 7 p.m. Tuesday night.
The incident occurred in the 800 block of Blair Ave.
Police say the child was playing outside around other children when shots suddenly rang out and the boy was hit. It's not clear where the shots came from, but police do not believe the victim was the intended target of the gunshots.
The child was rushed to Children's Hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
