CINCINNATI - Police have identified a person of interest in the death of a security guard at a downtown Cincinnati hotel.
Police released surveillance video Monday in which they say a person wanted for questioning in connection to the homicide is spotted.
The person is described as a white male, 20-30 years of age with dark hair wearing a dark jacket and jeans. He was wearing a white or light colored shirt underneath a jacket and was carrying a red messenger bag at the time of being spotted, but police have not released when the video was taken or exactly where.
Richard K. Campbell, 58, a security guard at the Hilton Netherland Plaza Hotel, located at 35 West Fifth Street, was found at about 6 a.m. Friday stabbed to death in a stairwell at the hotel.
Police say Campbell was a Vietnam veteran and was killed on his birthday. He was also scheduled to be off Friday and was not working his regular shift, according to police.
Officials have not released any additional information at this time.
