Woman dies after being struck by her own vehicle in Clermont County

WILLIAMSBURG, Ohio - Police say a woman is dead after a fatal accident in Clermont County Wednesday afternoon.
The incident happened on Winding Trails Drive, just south of State Route 32, in Williamsburg around 1 p.m.
Police say Bessie Garrett, 68, was struck by her own vehicle in a private drive when she apparently attempted to exit the car without placing it in park.
After the vehicle struck Garrett, officials say the car continued on Winding Trails Drive and came to a rest against a fence nearby.
Garrett was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
The crash remains under investigation by police.
