ERLANGER, Ky. - An Erlanger, Ky. parent was charged with terroristic threatening in the second degree for saying she would blow up Caywood Elementary School in Edgewood.

According to court documents, Kenton County School District resource officer Terry Chinn went to the home of Chastity Dawn Ellis on Jan. 4 to speak with her about her child’s six unexcused days from school.

Ellis said she spoke with the school and would contact them again about the absences, according to the report. Approximately 23 minutes later Officer Chinn spoke with Caywood Elementary principal Kelly Conner who said she received an emotional call from Ellis about Chinn’s visit.

Conner reported Ellis at first threatened to sue the school before making the threat to come to the school to blow it up when she tried to end the conversation.
