CINCINNATI - A local church is offering a speedy Ash Wednesday option for on-the-go parishioners.

Mt. Healthy United Methodist Church, 7612 Perry Street is again hosting a drive-thru option for Ash Wednesday on Feb. 13 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. The event allows parishioners to “receive ashes without leaving your car,” according to the church’s website .

The church has offered the service in the past with success during last year’s Ash Wednesday event. The service is aimed at busy people as well as people who might be intimidated walking into a church.

Parishioners are invited to attend services in the sanctuary if they would prefer.

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Christian season of Lent, which concludes after 40 days with the celebration of Easter.
