BURLINGTON, Ky. - A Boone County judge sentenced a convicted rapist to 5 years in prison when he appeared in court Wednesday morning.

Judge James Schrand sentenced John Stuedle to 5 years of 15 concurrent sentences in prison for each count of charges that he raped an underage girl more than a dozen times. Stuedle was convicted on 15 counts of third degree rape and one count of custodial interference.

Stuedle must also register as a sex offender.

Florence police say Stuedle is a man who was homeless and took advantage of the same victim multiple times at a homeless camp off U.S. 42.
