ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio - Officials with the Anderson Township Fire Department are investigating a fire that has displaced multiple families.
Anderson Township fire-rescue crews responded to a call at 1149 Witt Road Saturday morning after receiving after receiving word that a multiple-story structure in Cincinnati had caught fire.
Upon arrival, firefighters noted the blaze was contained to both floors a single unit within the multi-story condominium complex.
All occupants of the unit escaped without injury. Occupants of adjacent condominiums, including a pet cat, were removed from their homes without injury thanks to assistance from firefighters.
Two occupants of the building were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation but declined to be transported to a local hospital.
No firefighters were injured as a result of the fire.
The Anderson Township Fire Department is reporting the fire destroyed both interior floors of unit 409 of the building. Additional damage to both sides of the structure caused two families to be displaced.
Fire officials are estimating the fire caused approximately $150,000 worth of damage.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
