DILLSBORO, Ind. - Officials located a missing 78-year-old woman suffering from Alzheimer’s Tuesday morning after she was missing for almost 10 hours.
Blanche Cook, 78, was reported missing in Dearborn County at about 9 p.m. Monday and officials said they located her at about 10 a.m. Tuesday. When officials located Cook, emergency crews transported her to an area hospital for medical treatment and is in stable condition, according to authorities.
Officials have not released information about the nature of Cook’s injuries.
One of Cook’s friends reported that at about 3 p.m. Monday, Cook walked to her residence in the 15000 block of Spangler Road in Dillsboro, Ind., and then said she was going to check a tract of 10 acres of land that she owned adjacent to the property. Cook did not return home from there.
Officials began their search for Cook Monday evening, but were not able to find her.
Authorities have not released any additional details about Cook’s disappearance at this time.
