PINER, Ky. - Doug Imhoff lost almost everything March 2, 2012.
On that night, tornadoes ripped through the Tri-State, killing 11 people and damaging 343 structures. Imhoff’s home in Piner, Ky. was one of those destroyed.
"It was the scariest thing I ever heard," he told 9 On Your Side just after the storm.
Since then, he has picked up the pieces and attempted to move on with his life. Part of the process has included helping to construct his new home, which sits only feet away from where he used to live.
9 On Your Side spoke with Imhoff about his experience that night and how the past year has affected his life.
