CINCINNATI - Police have taken a man into custody in connection with a double shooting that took place in Lockland last month.
According to police, Joshua Lee, 25, was apprehended at an apartment at Sunset and Gilsey avenues in Price Hill around 1:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon. Lee was inside his vehicle at the time of his arrest.
The suspect is believed to have been taken into custody without incident.
Police say they learned of Lee’s whereabouts after police received a tip about a vehicle matching the description of rental vehicle the suspect was believed to be using. Police located Lee's vehicle at the apartment complex where he was eventually arrested.
Lee, who was known to frequent west side neighborhoods, was originally believed to be driving a white Dodge Charger but police uncovered information that led them to believe he had rented and been using a Jeep Compass.
The arrest comes in the wake of a search for the perpetrator of a double shooting in September that resulted in the death of one person, Michael Gertz. Gertz, 33, was found around midday on Sept. 28 at an apartment building located at 226 Central Avenue in Lockland. No information on the other shooting victim was released.
9 News reports Lee is currently being interviewed police.
Police say he will be taken to jail and arraigned Monday. Lee will be charged with aggravated murder, felonious assault and aggravated robbery.
