BATAVIA, Ohio - The hearing has been delayed for a Clermont County man accused of sexually torturing children.

Michael Tringelof, 43, was scheduled to be in court Thursday morning after he was indicted in June for allegedly kidnapping a 9-year-old boy and confining and torturing him in Tringelof’s mother’s home in the 5700 block of Linden Drive in Miami Township.

Also, later that month, six other alleged victims came forward with similar accusations against Tringelof — that they were kidnapped and tortured by him in the house's basement.

In July, a Clermont County grand jury indicted Tringelof on 33 additional counts — 15 counts of kidnapping, nine counts of abducting and nine counts of endangering children.

Tringelof's attorneys requested a delay for him to enter a plea because they still need more time. He is scheduled to appear in court again on Sept. 13 at 10 a.m.
