CINCINNATI - An Independence woman is facing allegations that she was high during a Wednesday afternoon car crash in which her young daughter in the car with her.

Rebecca Cooper, 24, was charged after the accident at the 1.8 mile marker on I-75 near downtown Cincinnati.

Authorities say Cooper was attempting to hide two hypodermic needles in her shorts and was holding a plastic bag in hand containing a piece of heroin.

Her daughter, age 5, and Cooper were not injured in the crash, according to authorities.

Cooper was charged with drug possession, endangering children, OVI and failure to control.

Officials have not released any additional details about the crash at this time.

A judge issued a $20,000 bond for Cooper during a court hearing Thursday.
