COLUMBUS, Ohio - The world was watching Ohio and Ohio performed. That's the message out of Secretary of State John Husted's office Wednesday morning.
"I wanted to make sure that the world watching Ohio was proud of what we were doing," said Husted.
More than 5.3 million Ohioans cast their vote in this year's election which Husted says is slightly down from 2008. However, early voting far surpassed that of 2008.
"I got a lot of questions prior to the election, Is Ohio going to be the next Florida? Well, Florida was the next Florida! Ohio looked great," said Husted.
Husted says their are more than 119,000 absentee ballots still need to be counted and more than 205, 000 provisional ballots.
The Secretary of State told 9 News that his office will also look at certain issues that went wrong including aging voting machines that jammed or failed to work.
