CINCINNATI - "Ham Solo" and "Goetta Way" are just a few of the pig designs adorning the wall in the entry way at Cincinnati Art Works.
"The time is now to join in the fun. The more the merrier as a sponsor, as an artist, as a student," said Carol Buckhout of Art Works.
Cincinnati is reprising the Big Pig Gig in honor of the World Choir Games.
"Sixty is our target though we won't cut people off at 60," said Buckhout.
Students at Harrison High School are working on a pig design. A nearby neighborhood sponsored a pig and the students will come up with the theme.
"We wanted to make sure we honor Cincinnati, honor the World Choir Games and also a country. We have selected China and we are going to be doing a water dragon," said Art Instructor Pam Kravetz.
This Chinese New Year will mark the year of the dragon but it is also coupled with the element water which is why the students will be making their pig wear a water dragon costume.
"Anybody can draw a dragon but China has their own ideas and designs on it," said sophmore Kaitlyn Meyer.
With so many countries attending the World Choir Games Kravetz believes it will be a tremendous cultural learning experience for her students.
"They will be able to travel the whole world without leaving their hometown," said Kravetz.
