CINCINNATI - It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is right around the corner, but holiday celebrations are kicking off for the season this weekend in the Tri-State.
The Germania Society is hosting the annual Christkindlmarkt Friday through Sunday. The three-day event offers traditional holiday festivities that the entire family can enjoy, including authentic German food and music, special appearances by St. Nikolas and Santa Claus, and carriage rides.
For those looking to get in early holiday shopping, glass ornaments, toys, imported Christmas candy, steins and glassware will be available for purchase.
Admission is $3 per person, children 14 and under are free. The event takes place at Germania Park in an enclosed and heated pavilion.
Hours for the event include:
Friday Nov. 16: 5-10 p.m.
Saturday Nov. 17: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. (clubhouse open until midnight)
