CORWIN, Ohio - A fire caused significant damage to a Warren County house Thursday morning.

The fire broke out around 2 a.m. in the 5500 block of Oregonia Road in Corwin, near the Little Miami bike trail.

Firefighters have put out all of the flames, but not before five extra fire departments were called in to assist. Crews from Lebanon, Morrow, Clearcreek, Turtlecreek and Massey townships all responded to help.

The Corwin fire chief says the house was a very old building that had been remodeled and all the nooks and crannies created by the construction made the flames hard to put out.

No injuries were reported.

A cause of the fire has not been determined and a damage estimate has not yet been made.
