CINCINNATI - Cincinnati firefighters put out a fire that raged inside a multiple-story home in the Mount Auburn neighborhood early Thursday evening.
Fire crews from District One arrived at 2231 Burnet Avenue to battle the one-alarm blaze after dispatchers received reports of heavy smoke bellowing from the third floor of an occupied dwelling around 4:51 p.m.
The fire department says 32 firefighters managed to contain the blaze after 15 minutes. Fire companies remained on the scene for about an hour and a half, the fire department said.
According to officials, there were no reported injuries to civilians or firefighters. None of the occupants of the home were present at the time of the fire.
Damage to the property is being estimated at approximately $20,000.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
