CINCINNATI - Leaders at Cincinnati Public Schools are re-evaluating security policies and are examining safety risks in specific school buildings.
The school district's Committee of the Whole is scheduled to meet at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday to make sure the district is ready for any type of threat.
District Spokesperson Janet Walsh said the meeting will include a presentation by a school resource officer and a member of SWAT.
Teams have already been checking the threat assessment levels at school buildings throughout the district.
A summary of possible recommendations for change could also be discussed at Wednesday's meeting.
The security re-evaluation comes after the elementary school tragedy in Newtown, Conn., where a single gunman killed 20 children and six adults.
